This experience was not suppose to happen. I am living in Hawaii and at the time am sitting on the beach watching a sunset. Under my breath, without thinking much about it, I thought, “if there’s a God out there, would you let me know?” I quickly dismissed the thought as quickly as I thought it.
I go to work the next day and am assigned to painting a dumpster. The person assigned to work with me asks me if I want to go to a Bible study with him on Wednesday night. I asked, “a bible study?” he says, “Yeah, it’s really cool, we drink beer, wine, smoke pakalolo (marijuana) and study the bible.” I said, “sounds good to me”. So Wednesday night, we went to the bible study. Some of the others went outside and got stoned, but I didn’t want to be rude to the householder (who I didn’t know at the time) and sat in the room. There was a bible study conductor named Dan Josephson. We had the first study then the second. I was amazed at what I was learning. I was not a drinker, but I did like drugs. I learned what was right and what was wrong. I began attending meetings and quickly stopped using any drugs whatsoever. I progressed very rapidly. I got baptized at the first assembly (about 3 months) after my first study. In a short time there were 23 people in the study. All eventually came in the truth and became Jehovah’s Witnesses. 2-3 have since died. I still have contact with each of those that were in that study.
That angel flying in mid heaven (Rev. 14:6) strikes again.
